“Families do not live according to party labels, and our families are tired of the infighting. We need real solutions that lower costs.”
Meet Rebecca
Rebecca Prendergast has never been good at waiting for someone else to solve a problem.
Growing up sweeping wood shavings from the floor of her father’s manufacturing business, she learned a lesson that stayed with her: a business is never just a balance sheet. It is employees bringing home paychecks to care for their families, customers counting on you, and a community relying on leaders who get things right.
The work Rebecca is most proud of has always been her service to the community. Whether serving on the board of a local animal rescue, mentoring young women, or donating produce from her family farm, she steps up when help is needed. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when neighbors struggled to access vaccines, she mobilized to help them get vaccinated.
As a mother of four, Rebecca is deeply committed to strengthening Pennsylvania’s public schools. She believes every child deserves a high-quality education regardless of their zip code or family income. Strong public schools build vibrant neighborhoods, support working families, and keep our communities places where people want to plant their roots.
Rebecca isn't a career politician—she is a mom, an entrepreneur, and a community advocate. Today, politics too often focuses on picking sides, defending teams, and scoring points rather than solving real problems facing our communities here in Upper Bucks County.
A former registered Republican, Rebecca found herself increasingly at odds with the direction of the party. January 6, 2021, marked a definitive turning point; watching the attack on the Capitol and the political response convinced her to leave the party.
Today, Rebecca and her husband are raising their family in Upper Bucks County, where they have deep roots. She is running for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives because true representation begins with the people who live here.
Underlying it all is a core belief: people who work hard, care for their families, and play by the rules deserve a fair shot at a good life. Rebecca isn't running to build a political career; she is running because she has spent her life showing up when there is work to be done.
In Harrisburg, Rebecca will:
Protect Upper Bucks from irresponsible development by demanding enforceable protections for our water, farmland, electric grid, communities, and taxpayers before massive data center projects move forward.
Make it easier for families and seniors to afford life here by fighting rising healthcare, childcare, housing, utility, and property tax pressures.
Strengthen our local economy by supporting small businesses, revitalizing communities like Quakertown, and bringing investment and good jobs back to the district.
Invest in the people who keep our communities strong, including public schools, our police, first responders, emergency services, and the infrastructure our towns depend on.
Put the 145th ahead of party politics by demanding transparency, rejecting special interest control, and working with anyone who can help get results for Upper Bucks County.
